slowing down leads

to ability to move faster;

got a quarter to

drop down a deep well;

make wish a good one ⌨️ 

panic is born of

fear is mind killer;

breathe deep and slow ⌨️ 

drifting away into

the depths of despair;

long winding path taken ⌨️

there's no shame in 

losing is a teaching tool;

embrace the suck ⌨️

at the darkest hour;

click clack rails

evening in dining car;

just a couple days ⌨️ 

murder most foul

to everyone but murderer;

past is construct of

the mind creates the present;

long live the matrix ⌨️

chemical reactions

stored as electrical impulses;

the soul makes miracles ⌨️

civilian warrior

a special mindset to achieve; 

transition to civilian life ⌨️ 🖊 

water lapping ashore

birds on a windy day;

letting fall fade away ⌨️ 🖊 

GHOSTS

wind blows open

door to afterlife;

who you gonna call ⌨️ 🖊 

smell of green tea

gives such wonderful aroma; 

a fall afternoon ⌨️ 🖊 

Haiku, originally and traditionally, is an artistic way to describe nature. Evolutionarily speaking, modern haiku, is now a form of popular literature, incorporating elements of ordinary speech, slang and topical culture to give their poems  accessibility and mass appeal. Gaiku Ryu haiku/senryu or American haiku has morphed into what could be loosely based on Japanese haiku spanning beyond nature toward a broader natural human condition.

facing the last gate;

the old horn in the drive;
