TIME SAYS… ⏱
time is a matrix
of the mind;
there is only the present moment ✍🏼
time tics away
only in our minds eye 👁;
reality is only this moment ✍🏼
time of the mind
fast or slow it goes;
timing ⏱ is controlled ✍🏼
time can be watched
only on a timing ⏱ device;
distinct from our minds time ✍🏼
time speaks quietly
to our minds eye 👁;
speaking softly of thoughts 💭 of time ✍🏼
the passing of time
is the reality perceived;
only by our state of mind ✍🏼
time travel 🧭 is real
only in our minds;
every memory is traveling to our past ✍🏼
seconds ticking away
making the minutes of our day;
sun rises and sets each day ✍🏼
creating time
by man’s necessity;
to control and manage things ✍🏼
all of modern time
created by man;
just let nature’s time rule ✍🏼
times too slow
times too fast;
where does the time go ✍🏼
what’s the best time
what’s the worst time;
no time like the present moment ✍🏼
tic-toc tic-toc tic-toc
time stands still for no-man;
decide to move quickly and quietly ✍🏼
time isn’t fixed
experience a lifetime in minutes;
watch a movie 🎥 ✍🏼
time is slow
in our youth;
are we there yet? ✍🏼
time speeds up
in our winter years;
grey appears out of nowhere ✍🏼
in the middle ages
time ticks according;
tic-toc fast tic-toc slow ✍🏼
time is constant
so we think 🤔;
so why oh why is it chaotic ✍🏼
moving time
stationary time;
it’s called time dilation ✍🏼
slow down
you move too fast;
time shifts accordingly ✍🏼
as time tics away
the pressure builds;
it’s all in the mind ✍🏼
the nature of time
depends on sun 🌞 and moon 🌙;
turn off the alarm the rooster crows ✍🏼
time warps
in dangerous situations;
do the matrix time warp ✍🏼
“frightening events are associated with richer and denser memories," Eagleman explained. "And the more memory you have of an event, the longer you believe it took."
Eagleman added this illusion "is related to the phenomenon that time seems to speed up as you grow older. When you're a child, you lay down rich memories for all your experiences; when you're older, you've seen it all before and lay down fewer memories. Therefore, when a child looks back at the end of a summer, it seems to have lasted forever; adults think it zoomed by."
Still, in the end, "it's really about understanding the virtual reality machinery that we're trapped in [The Matrix 😜]," Eagleman told LiveScience. "Our brain constructs this reality for us that, if we look closely, we can find all these strange illusions in. The fact that we're now seeing this with how we perceive time is new."
